The 2027 Special Olympics World Games will take place from 16 October to 24 October, 2027

Expanding Across Chile

As part of the 2027 World Games legacy, Special Olympics Chile will grow its reach to all 16 regions of the country, ensuring that more individuals with intellectual disabilities have access to year-round sports, health, and education programming.

Growing the Movement

The 2027 Special Olympics World Games in Santiago mark a historic turning point for inclusion in Chile. For the first time, Special Olympics programming will expand into all 16 regions of the country—bringing life-changing opportunities in sport, health, and education to thousands of individuals with intellectual disabilities who’ve long been underserved.

This moment is more than timely—it’s necessary. As the world watches, Chile is rising to meet the call for a more inclusive society, and it won’t be done by government alone.

This nationwide expansion represents the largest inclusion effort in Chile’s history, laying the foundation for long-term social impact well beyond the Games. By bringing the movement to every corner of the country, Santiago 2027 is building a more unified and inclusive Chile.
